Sørenga – right next to the Oslofjord

The “new” Oslo city district of Sørenga includes numerous blocks of flats right by the sea, with shops, cafés and other services on the ground floor of the buildings.

The Norwegian architect firm MAD was given the task of designing this “new” city district. For the façades of these new buildings, the firm was focused on finding a material that would work as an elegant contrast to the dark external brick cladding on the buildings at Sørenga.

Steni Vision fit the bill perfectly. We used the panels to supplement the Steni colour panels we also used in the inner courtyard, as well as in entrances and portals. With the unique option to customise the surface, the Steni Vision panels really added something extra to the entire project. MAD
