Høng School is a cultural meeting point in the Danish municipality of Kalundborg. The architecture signals fun and games, and the goal was to create an orderly, modern school with plenty of outdoor areas to encourage the children to spend time outside.

BALL GAMES ALLOWED

The Hjørnet youth club in the municipality of Roskilde in Denmark was built nine years ago, but its façade was not strong enough to withstand the impacts from the ball games that club members were always playing, and the club was constantly replacing damaged panels. The local council is now hoping to completely avoid this not inconsiderable expense by changing to more robust façade panels.

STENI VISION AT THE CABIN

At a cabin in idyllic Ula in the municipality of Larvik in Vestfold, architect Signe Mossige let her imagination run free with her use of materials. She chose Steni façade panels for her project – which is her family’s cottage. Read on to find out more about Signe’s ideas behind her untraditional choice of cladding.

“With good planning and good groundwork, it was easy to install this impressive façade,” says Contract Manager Timo Paloposki from MM-Yritysrakentajat. The Steni colour façade panels for the kindergarten were installed using construction adhesive on parts of the façade, and together with the other materials, form an innovative and colourful building. This kindergarten is inspiring and fun for the children and adults alike!
